While no reason has been given for Katie Holmes bailing on The View, you can bet there are plenty of theories floating out there about why she was a no show.

Katie Holmes was supposed to pre-tape a segment for The View today with Diane Keaton, but according to PageSix.com, she pulled out of the appearance at the last minute.

Did Katie Holmes cancel her appearance on The View for fear of being on the receiving end of hard hitting questions about Tom Cruise or Scientology?

Since the three interviews she did yesterday were pretty fluffy, the odds may have been against her that the ladies of The View could have thrown some tougher questions her way.
