Kate Gosselin sits down in this May 7 Today show interview video clip to plug her new book “Eight Little Faces,” as well as discuss the tabloid gossip about husband Jon Gosselin’s rumored affair with Deanna Hummel.

Kate Gosselin says the gossip about Jon goes with the territory of being in the public eye and that she and John are working through it privately. Jon and the kids were supposed to appear on the Today show with Kate, but he decided to keep the kids home instead and issued a statement about the rumors.

Jon & Kate Plus 8′s new season starts May 25.

    I have got to be the biggest Jon & Kate plus 8 fan in the universe. I am only 14, but I definetely understand what is going on. I think that the Gosselins will make it through this, and remain together because they are strong. Based on all of my research lately, I have come to think that Jon didn’t intentionally cheat on Kate. He had no reason to, in the first place. She is very nice and pretty, and I KNOW that they love each other very much. She may be strict and a little bossy from time to time, but it is only because she is trying to keep lives under control, and it is all in love, not anger or hate. Jon definetly made some awful decisions, at leaving a bar with Hummel at 2 am, and having her over in a bikini while Kate was away, if those are true. However, I do not believe the rumors of Jon at the Hummel house, though they are convincing. I just hope that Jon realizes what his poor judgement has done, and where it has brought the Gosselins, and that he won’t do anything like that again. Being a HUGE fan of theirs, it is very painful to see this happen to the amazing family, and it brought me to tears the other night. I hope, more than anything, that the Gosselins can make it through this and move on with their lives as a family, yes all 10! Their family and friends have also been put in a tough situation, and I hope they will hang on with the Gosselins. On the bodyguard and Kate affair, I am also disgusted. Both Jon and Kate are wonderful parents, and neither of these scandals are true, putting into sake the 8 kids.

    i think that kate just need to let jon go if he wants to run away from his kids and his wife for a 21 yr old girl let him they wont last forever .she is still young, its just a little faze jon is going threw he will run back to kate and you no what it might be a little to late for that!!!! if anybody should run it should be kate but she wont because she is a perfect example of a mother … she shows no matter how hard life get she stilll spends time with her kids and she is showing her kids that running away from your problems only makes them worse !!! so kate keep your head up and show the world that you dont need a man in your life to make you and your kids happy !!! i love your show and cant wait for the new season
