Kara DioGuardi appeared on this morning’s installment of The View to talk about, naturally, American Idol. Barbara Walters asked about Adam Lambert being gay, to which Kara DioGuardi responded, “I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet]. I think he was always openly out.”

Barbara further asked if he was openly out because Adam Lambert has never said one way or the other and Kara said, “I think he was. I mean from what I’ve seen … I do. I never thought he wasn’t.”

In other Adam Lambert is-he-or-isn’t-he-gay news… The NY Post is reporting that Lambert will appear on the cover of Rolling Stone where he will be coming out “officially.”
