Justin Mentell, an actor who appeared on “Boston Legal,” is dead following a car accident an hour south of Madison, Wisconsin. Justin Mentell was driving an SUV which went down an embankment and hit two trees.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department the 27-year-old Mentell’s death resulted from the actor not wearing a seat belt during the crash.

Police say that drugs or alcohol were not involved.

Justin Mentell played attorney Garrett Wells on “Boston Legal” from 2005 to 2006 and was in the movie “G-Force.”
