If you’re hoping for Julianna Margulies to return to the final season of ER, don’t hold your breath – the actress says she won’t be back to reprise her role as nurse Carol Hathaway.

While Julianna Margulies was invited to return to the final season of ER, she declined the appearance.

Julianna Margulies shared some great screen time with George Clooney, who played Dr. Doug Ross, but left ER after six seasons.

According to Julianna Margulies, “I feel like I left Carol Hathaway in the best scenario possible. I can’t imagine making it any better than that.”

ER’s final season will include visits from Anthony Edwards, Noah Wyle and Eriq La Salle, however.
