“American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks’ CD is in stores today. The self-titled debut album is her first big step away from the “Idol” machine, having won the prize in May and touring with the other finalists all summer. Oh, and she turns 18 on December 22nd and is getting ready for a solo tour.

Her single, “Tattoo,” is already gaining on the top 40 charts. Will she follow in the footsteps of Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry and ride the “American Idol” momentum all the way to the top?
