Jon Stewart to Host Comedy Central Autism Benefit

For the second year, Comedy Central is running their autism benefit, hosted by the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart — “Night of Too Many Stars: Overbooked Benefit for Autism Education.”
“Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit for Autism Education” has an impressive line up of comedians, including: Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert, Sarah Silverman and Amy Poehler (as well as others!).
Catch the autism benefit on Sunday, April 13 at 8 p.m. EST, which will raise money for education programs and schools for autistic children and adults, as well as the group Autism Speaks. The last Comedy Central benefit raised more than $2.6 million.
“Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit for Autism Education” is overseen by Robert Smigel, who has an autistic son.
Smigel (best known for his Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and SNL’s TV Funhouse) commented: “It’s bleak for a lot of parents. As hard as it was to have our son diagnosed, it’s even harder to imagine the frustration of parents who just can’t get what they need for their child.”
