The Jon & Kate Plus 8 hiatus is over… and anyone caring to tune in to this broken family can look forward to new shows starting tonight, August 3. The biggest change when Jon and Kate Plus 8 returns? Separate couches.

Well… separate chairs, really. TLC addressed what Jon & Kate Plus 8 will look like now that the couple has announced their divorce and are no longer sharing the family home:

“The iconic couch is gone, and replaced by separate interview chairs for Jon and Kate. You will see them separately parenting. You’ll see Kate put a tent up in the backyard and see Jon struggle in the kitchen trying to make pizza for his kids.”

TLC explained that Jon and Kate Gosselin splitting was “something we never expected or planned to have happen.”
