I think there is a reason why they should split. but at the same time it is their fault and they ruined their lives and so did the camera people. Jon didn’t do anything but the monster kate blamed it on Jon. I think Jon has nothing on monster kate. kate hit leah she yells across a store she makes every on angry! if anyone is cheating it is monster kate!!! I am TOTALY on Jon’s side!

If I were them I would stop the show immediately
and go to couples therapy. Your problems will only multiply by eight if you get a divorce. I can already tell you have lost your priorities when you say that you bought the house for the kids. The kids would much rather have parents who care for them then a childhood in front of the whole country. Get off the merry go round and remember who you were before you merchandized yourselves!

I think that this whole situation with Jon and Kate is horrible and sad. Both of them just need a break for a little bit and then realize how much they actually do love each other. I also think that all the media and the tv show has brought them to where there are at. I’m not saying that the tv show is why they are fighting, but I’m saying its part of it. And this is to the paparazi and media: GET A LIFE!!! leave this poor family alone and quit following their every move. They are just like any other family who wants to live their life. I’m sure there’s a ton of families out there with more than eight kids, in fact I know about 6 families who have at least 13 kids. Let Jon and Kate live their lifes and quit following their every move!

Kate will never give up the money. She likes where she is at and thinks people envey her. When they moved into the new house , I quit watching, she just turned me off completely. I just know now what I see on the news. Very sad for the kids.

Divorce is a terrible thing for everyone involved. I’m not a huge television watcher, but this is my teenage daughters favorite show so I have seen it. Kate was verbally abusive to Jon on TV, can we imagine how it was when they were alone? Cheating is wrong, I regret doing it myself, but I can understand why. When you’re verbally abused day in and day out, it just feels so good to have someone treat you nice and with respect. I’m sorry for them. Raising 3 on my own has been a long row to hoe. I can’t comprehend if I had 8.

okay, first off, i think that they should definitely cancel the show. because they are just gonna kill their marriage even more by always being behind cameras. 2nd, they should try to work their marriage out because having 8 kids is ALOT of work. and i highly doubt some guy would really want to deal with 8 kids if they did get divorced. plus, where would the kids all go? the mom or dad? or half and half? it will tear them apart. i think they should at least try to work this out because they are just gonna end up hurting their kids. and i feel bad for the poor little ones that JUST turned 5… and having their parents on the verge of divorce… sad… :\

They need the show to make money to feed those kids and give them a good lifestyle on on hand. On the other hand, they need to do what is best for the kids. What is best for the kids would have been for them to cancel the show and work on their marriage in private. Instead, they chose (probably Kate) to keep the show. She seems a bit controlling and while a woman should control the household, when the man is also home then that control should be shared and all decisions mutual. Nobody’s fault here, but maybe too late to salvage the marriage. The price you pay to make a deal with the devil (hollywood).

I saw it coming because I have been in a high stress family situation trying to raise a special needs child and a normal son with a controlling husband who is somewhat OCD. The interactions between Jon and Kate about 2 years into the birth of the sextuplets was a sign that the marriage would not or could not weather the bickering, the submission on Jon’s part and the dominance on Kate’s part. I am sure they were pretty happy as was apparent the first year of their show. The sextuplets could still be confined to their bouncy seats and weren’t walking yet. Then the kids started walking. Once that happens, the energy level required from both of them went through the roof. With Jon having to quit his job to help with the children added some interesting struggles that Jon was probably feeling inside. Society believes that the man should hold a job which brings in income. When he doesn’t, no matter why the reason, it does hit his ego hard.

The plain hard facts are that Kate was and is dealing with the stress of raising 8 children by trying to be controlling, by trying to keep order when it is impossible while Jon deals with the stress from both Kate and raising children as well. They deal with the pressures by lashing out at each other and bickering. I have been there and my marriage failed as well. I went through years of therapy and it didn’t succeed due to both parties not being able to change.

Through therapy, Jon would need to learn how to respond to Kate’s barking orders in an adult manner without losing his cool. Kate would need to learn how to deal with her stress by not needing so much order and would need to let go of control. They would both need to learn how to work as a team without blaming the other when things go wrong.

After so many years under tremendous pressure, bickering, finger pointing, and lack of seeing the each other as one team going through the same war, I can see why they are getting a divorce. It happens all the time to families under tremendous stress and unless both people learn how to deal with the stress, it will fail.

The kids will be traumatized at first and the parents, relatives, caregivers, and friends will need to be careful to ensure the children they will be taken care of and they are secure. Jon will need to continue to be an active part of the children’s lives. Jon and Kate need to mend the fences enough to be friends. Tall Order? Yes. It can be done though. They need to grow and rise above it.
