Could this please be the last of the Jon and Kate Gosselin news for the day? Put it on your calendars – TLC is putting the Jon & Kate Plus 8 craziness on hiatus, with no new episodes until August.

TLC announced that the network has halted production on Jon & Kate Plus 8 to give the family “some time off to regroup.” Next week’s episode will be a clips package, featuring some new footage, but the series will not return with new episodes until August.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 has a 40 episode order for this season, and only 6 episodes have aired so far… and the Gosselins said the show will go on, but with them filming separately.

In other news, Kate Gosselin indicated in the divorce papers that she and Jon have been apart for two years – what a lie this show has been!

And people just love to watch, it seems, as the special announcement/divorce episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 drew the most viewers ever – 10.6 million viewers tuned in (that’s almost a million more than the season’s premiere!).

New episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8 will return on August 3… will you still watch? We can bet ratings will be taking a nosedive.
