Well, it looks like the big Jon and Kate Plus 8 announcement isn’t so much of a spoiler – People.com is reporting that the Gosselins have filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage.

What does the Jon and Kate Gosselin divorce announcement mean for the series? Guess we’ll find out tonight in the very special episode set to air – which, no doubt, will likely get the highest ratings ever.

It seems a sad reflection on Americans that will be tuning in to watch the Gosselin marriage crumble to pieces and the two file for divorce.

A source tells People.com that divorce documents were filed today at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. I guess more details of the Gosselin split will happen on tonight’s show.

Of course, while many are saying they knew the Gosselins were headed for a split, it’s important to remember the kids – how will the divorce impact the kids? Hasn’t being on a reality show done enough damage?
