Former MTV reality star, singer and wannabe actress Jessica Simpson checked in to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles over the weekend with a kidney infection.

In Touch Weekly is reporting the news, with a family friend confirming, “She checked in on Friday morning because she was feeling achy and had a fever.”

Jessica Simpson should be released from the hospital tomorrow morning.
