Jericho Canceled, Despite Fans’ Best Efforts

Wow, this is pretty surprising — “Jericho,” once saved by fans with a peanut campaign, has now officially been canceled.
I think it’s safe to say that fans can’t save “Jericho” a second time — though they should be proud of their efforts the first time around. Despite being saved, viewership for this season of “Jerciho” has been in the dumps, leading to the inevitable cancellation.
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler responded to the news that Jericho was canceled, saying:
“Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high-quality second season.
We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We’re proud of everyone’s efforts.”
The “Jericho” season (and series) finale airs Tuesday, March 25.
