Looks like it’s true love for former American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson and I Love New York 2 contestant David Otunga (known as “Punk” on the series) – the two are engaged

David Otunga popped the question on Jennifer Hudson’s birthday Friday night, September 8, 2008. Now that Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga are engaged, she’s sporting a Neil Lane-designed diamond ring.

The couple have dated for less than a year.

Jennifer Hudson’s debut albut will be in stores September 30.
