Watch the Jay Leno Oprah interview in this January 28 video clip, where Oprah and Jay talk about Conan O’Brien and the whole Tonight Show/late night shuffle.
I’d love for Oprah to sit down with Conan at some point too. Doubt it’ll happen though.

Leno’s even more of a jerk than I thought he was. Neither this interview nor anything else he does can salvage his image.

I do not particularly like Jay Leno, his comedy or his interview style, but I do not think he deserves the crap he has taken regarding the demise or reconstruction of his position on the Primetime/Late Show. NBC Executives should take full responsibility for this debacle regarding an overpaid, over-rated position on late night television that no one will ever be able to replace like the late Johnny Carson – AND NO ONEm EVER WILL – Sorry David Lettermen. I thought Oprah’s interview with Jay was completely inappropriate. She clearly had taken a side at the onset of her interview, but I thought a good reporter does not show sides and only reports the facts. I have been losing respect for Oprah during the past years as she continues to shown her egotistucal side, but this interview has made it clear that I will not watch a show or movie, listen to her speak, read a book, listen to a song, follow a diet, donate to a charity or vote for a president that she recommends or endorses . I mean. .. She knows what it’s like to have her own station and to beable to call the shots. I guess if you really move the letters Oprah around eventually you will get NBC, ABC or CBS. In any event….there’s a “B” in there somewhere.

I found this story on it, and it takes an interesting look on the issue, especially Oprah’s aggressiveness — which I think was rather undeserved. As much as I don’t like Leno’s show, it sounds like a lot of the decision to keep him over Conan was Jeff Zucker’s and the rest of corporate.
