Jasleen Gonzales talks about abusive past
Jaslene Gonzales, winner of America’s Next Top Model talked about her abusive relationship that nearly ruined her confidence in an interview in the July issue of Seventeen.
She describes it as a dark moment in her life.
Gonzalez mentions that she wasn’t eating or sleeping the way she should have because of the terrible situation she was in and mentally shut down, carrying on by going on auto pilot. She says:
I think perseverance is the key to success. There were so many roadblocks for me, but I overcame them all.”
She says she has a lot of advice she could offer others in abusive relationships but insists that it starts within yourself and that people need to get help and talk to someone to get out of it.
Good for her for succeeding so nicely after such a horrible relationship!
