Isaiah Washington is speaking out about being fired, saying that he did everything that everyone asked him to do - producers and the network - and he continued to do his job, so he is “saddened by the outcome” of being fired.

The show’s producers claim that regardless of his apologies and PSA, he had become a liability because of his homophobic slurs.

He apparently hasn’t heard from any of his co-workers. When asked if he’s still on good terms with T.R. Knight after all this, he said he didn’t know and “you would have to ask T.R. that.”

He’s currently working on an indie movie, The Least of These and trying not to dwell. He said:

“I can only apologize so many times. I can only accept so much responsibility. All the players involved have taken care of what we needed to take care of in-house – and the media took it in a different direction. I hope that everyone is happy for the outcome for Isaiah, but Isaiah will go on and do what I love to do.”
