Is Darrell Hammond Leaving Saturday Night Live/SNL? Hammond’s Last Show?

Last night’s May 16 Saturday Night Live was the first time that Darrell Hammond had more than a few lines all season – there was something different too, right? Is Darrell Hammond leaving SNL? Sure seemed that way.
Darrell Hammond seemed to be pointed at and zoomed in on especially during the ending credits of SNL, almost as a farewell send off, but no news yet this morning on whether Hammond is off of SNL or not.
Was last night’s SNL Darrell Hammond’s last show?
In a recent TVGuide.com column, a reader asked if Darrell Hammond would be leaving the show. The answer was that Hammond, the longest running SNL cast member, was in talks to return next season, but they were still working the numbers out.
Darrell Hammond even sat in on the last sketch of the SNL season, with Will Ferrell singing Billy Joel’s “Goodnight Saigon” – and wow, a whole bunch of other people graced the stage too, including Tom Hanks, Amy Poehler, Norm MacDonald, Maya Rudolph, Green Day, Anne Hathaway, Paul Rudd, Artie Lange and Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss (Fred Armisen’s wife)… along with other SNL cast members.
