Hugh Hefner may sell Playboy to Virgin Media millionaire Richard Branson – at least, Hugh Hefner is considering the Playboy sale.
Hugh Hefner founded Playboy in 1953 – but in this economy, Playboy has taken a hit too, suffering losses of $13.7 million in the first quarter of 2009. Currently, Playboy magazine sells three million copies per issue down from its peak of 6.6 million copies in the early 1970s. Blame the internet!
But will Hugh Hefner sell Playboy? Really? The 83-year-old may just do that, with a price tag of $300 million.
