How Does American Idol Wild Card Selection Work? Who Will Make Top 12?

Last night, the American Idol judges made their wildcard picks, but how do the last 3 places of the top 12 get filled from the 8 wild card contestants selected? The wildcard selection process seems to be a mystery, but we did some digging to see how the last 3 spots will be filled on American Idol tonight.
First, here’s the rundown of the American Idol wild card contestants:
Von Smith
Tatiana Del Toro
Jasmine Murray
Matt Giraud
Ricky Braddy
Jesse Langseth
Megan Corkrey
Anoop Desai
Next… what will the American Idol wild card contestants sing? Obviously, between last night and tonight, there’s not much time to prepare, but contestants have the option of doing the same song they sang during semi-finals or selecting a new song.
It would seem, since none of these 8 wildcard kids made the initial top 12 cut… that maybe their song choice in semi-finals wasn’t that great. So it’ll be interesting to see how many switch it up and sing something different.
Now, as for the selection process. Each of the wildcards will get the chance to sing and each of the judges make their picks, choosing the three that will move on to the top 12 finalists group. In the event of a tie, it’s rumored that Simon Cowell will be the tie breaker.
So… any predictions? Do you think the judges will advance wild card Tatiana Del Toro to the top 12 just for the drama?
