The original HSM Wildcats are confirmed to return for “High School Musical 3: Senior Year!”

That’s right, original “High School Musical” cast Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman will return for the third installment – a bigger and better HSM because it’ll be on the big screen.

“High School Musical 3: Senior Year begins production in spring 2008 and, according to a Walt Disney Pictures press release, Troy and Gabriella are

“facing the prospect of being separated from one another as they head off in different directions to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.”

HSM and HSM 2 director Kenny Ortega returns for “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” as does writer Peter Barsocchini.
