They’re not “making out”. The angle their heads are tilted in is more of a cheek-kiss. It’s probably for a scene they were shooting. After all, they are father/daughter.

The way she is hugging him around his waist is the way a daughter hugs her dad. The kiss looks like it could be romantic, but it probably was just a cheek kiss for the show.
