Bionic Woman Michelle Ryan
While “Bionic Woman,” starring Michelle Ryan, has been in danger of cancellation due to low ratings, it looks like rumors that “Bionic Woman” has been cancelled may very well be true.

Once the writers’ strike began, the cast of “Bionic Woman” were in limbo – production stopped and their contracts were suspended. With ratings plunging from an impressive 13.9 million viewers for the pilot to just 5.9 million by the eighth episode, things weren’t looking good for the drama.

The British newspaper Daily Star reported that a source said:

“This is devastating news for the cast. They loved working on the program. Michelle [Ryan] is going to be very upset. This was a huge break for her - a chance in a lifetime.

The show has been criticized. People complained about the poor storylines. But the writers have hardly any time to work with the characters. They were just getting used to them.”

UPDATE: TVGuide.com is reporting that “Bionic Woman” has not yet ben cancelled — an NBC Universal Media Studios spokesperson said, “Bionic Woman has not been cancelled. Production was shut down due to the WGA strike. In addition, we have not completed the initial 13-episode order, which will be the first order of business when the strike ends.”
