Golden Globes Will Air Despite Writers’ Strike

There was some concern about whether or not the Golden Globes ceremony would go on with the writers’ strike still underway, but NBC said the show will go on.
The Golden Globes will take place January 13, despite the possibility of picketing writers and no-shows by stars who are supporting the writers’ strike.
The New York times quoted Jeff Hermanson, strike coordinator for the Writers Guild of American West and the Writers Guild of America East, with the writers intent to protest during the ceremony:
“If the Globes is telecast and it is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is a struck company, we will picket the show.”
