Golden Girls Star Rue McClanahan Recovering After Bypass Surgery

Golden Girls star Rue McClanahan is recovering following bypass surgery performed yesterday. Rue McClanahan, 75, is reportedly “doing great” after the surgery, according to her rep.
The Golden Girls star was first diagnosed with acute cardiac illness on Monday during a routine physical exam.
Rue McClanahan’s rep said of the discovery: “He listened to her ticker and didn’t like what he heard. But [the surgery] couldn’t have gone better. Everything went according to plan.”
