GMA/Good Morning America Jon and Kate Gosselin Rumors Addressed
And… just in case you haven’t had your fill yet – Good Morning America featured a Jon and Kate Gosselin story this morning about the couple’s recent negative press. If you’re not following along at home, the Jon and Kate Plus 8 reality show family is caught up in rumors about cheating/having affairs.
On this morning’s Good Morning America, Jon and Kate Gosselin were featured in a piece where a People magazine reporter spilled all the latest gossip on the couple.
People magazine’s Kate Coyne told Good Morning America, “Kate’s very clear on what has and has not happened. For starters, she’s adamant that she has in no way been unfaithful, that the allegations that she’s had an affair are horrifying to her. And she’s also very honest about the fact that she and her husband have hit a serious rough patch, and they’ve been struggling for a while.”
The latest fuel in the Kate/Jon Gosselin rumor fire is an interview that Kate’s brother did with Radar Online, confirming that the couple’s marriage has been rocky for some time.
According to Kate’s brother, Kevin Kreider, “Kate came to Jon and said, effectively, it’s over. I don’t think typically I would say this, but they’re showing America that it’s a thriving family. And it’s not what they’re living.”
Jon and Kate Plus 8 kicks off it’s fifth season on May 25 – do you think the negative publicity will drum up more viewers of the aging reality series?
TLC spokeswoman Laurie Goldberg talked about how Jon & Kate Plus 8 would address all the cheating rumors, saying, “We are in production for season five and moving forward as planned, while fully supporting the family and respecting their needs as they work through this challenging time. This show has always been about a real family dealing with real-life situations, and that will continue to be the case for the new season.”
Kate Gosselin also told People magazine, “I don’t know that we’re in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing,” adding, “I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again.”

This is all very unfortunate. For the sake of the family, they should really turn the cameras off and work on repairing the damage done. I’m guessing though that they won’t and ratings are likely to go up because tv audiences enjoy watching a good “train wreck”. Grab the popcorn!

It just goes to show you that Jon and Kate are normal people to, I guess we thought that they would never have problems just because they seem to have such a strong relationship on television and where they have 8 children together. We are not perfect in this life and we all make mistakes but I do hope they can work things out and they do seem to care about one another. I think that even if it doesn’t work out that they will remain great friends. I would hate to see the two divorce but that’s not up to us.
