So, the buzz last week was that George Clooney would make an appearance as Dr. Doug Ross during ER’s 15th season. According the the Hollywood hottie, he is not planning to return to the series that made him a household name.

George Clooney told Entertainment Tonight Canada, “No, never — we never even talked about it. No one has ever asked me. It’s the funniest thing. The story came out, and I was like ‘Where did that come from?’ It was everywhere — I mean in one day!”

I know, it’s a little sad, huh? Then again, what if prankster George Clooney is just pretending he won’t appear on ER. Hey, it could happen.

But probably won’t.
