FX Renews “Sons of Anarchy” for Third Season

Cool… FX has renewed the hit drama “Sons of Anarchy” for a third season. Here’s the rub… you have to wait until September for season 3!
Sons of Anarchy is the highest-rated basic cable drama this year, so no big surprise that FX is bringing it back.
Series creator Kurt Sutter also signed a two-year deal to continue as showrunner, so sounds like the fourth season renewal is a lock too.
The finale of “Sons of Anarchy” grabbed 4.3 million viewers.
FX president-general manager John Landgraf said of the renewal: “The success of’ Sons of Anarchy’ is very gratifying and the show has become a bona-fide hit. The critics have recognized ‘Sons’ as one the best series on television, and the show has earned its place alongside FX’s great drama series.”
