Well, that’s the rumor on the street anyway – former “American Idol” contestants Frenchie Davis and Ruben Studdard may take on the musical “Ain’t Misbehavin.”

While Jessica Sierra is one of the fallen “American Idols,” Frenchie Davis didn’t let getting canned from “American Idol” (when topless photos of her were discovered) ruin her career. In fact, she did pretty well, going on to perform in the musical “Rent” for four years.

Ruben Studdard, you may recall, was the winner of the second season and has made a few albums. Studdard has also been touring in the play “Heaven, I Need a Hug.”

According to Frenchie Davis, “I can’t say too much, but we’re doing a revival of a Broadway show.” Studdard may have given away the secret, when he said in a recent interview that he would be playing Fats Walker in a tour of “Ain’t Misbehavin.”
