
Things are lining up for the big “American Idol” Idol Gives Back show on April 9. The latest news is that talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres will co-host the Idol Gives Back event with Ryan Seacrest.
Last year’s Idol Gives Back raised $76 million.
The following guests have been announced for the Idol Gives Back special: Bono, Brad Pitt, Heart, Maroon 5, Gloria Estefan, Boyz II Men, The Clark Brothers, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend and Snoop Dogg.
The money raised on this year’s Idol Gives Back will go to the following charities: Children’s Defense Fund, Make It Right, Malaria No More, Save The Children, the Children’s Health Fund and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Idol Gives Back airs on April 9 (7:30 - 10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox.
