Elisabeth Hasselbeck not leaving The View
If only the rumors were true – Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been rumored to be leaving The View for a position at Fox News Channel. It’s not true though, folks.

While it’s a great idea that the ladies of The View offer up differing opinions, Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s Republican lovefest as of late has been met with some criticism. Heck, even Barbara Walters tried to get Hasselbeck to think a little more clearly in the October 1 episode.

So, Elisabeth Hasselbeck will not be joining Fox News, with her rep saying, “While Elisabeth [Hasselbeck] has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving The View. Elisabeth is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations.”

As for the rumors that Barbara Walters would like to fire the outspoken repub? No truth there either, with Karl Nilsson, Executive Publicity Director for The View, saying: “Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, executive producers of The View, consider Elisabeth to be vital to the program.”
