We've done the same thing for four years now with the Mountain Soul Vocal Competition and encourage our competitors to sing one of the 3,000+ songs she's written in their own style (rock, rap, blues, etc). It's been pretty successful and we get contestants from all over the US (of course the prizes are good too - 1st place gets $500, a guitar autographed by Dolly and a recording session in Nashville). The finals this year are May 17 and we're accepting applications through April 11.
