Looks like A&E can’t deny Dog the Bounty Hunter’s great ratings and faithful fans… even if Duane “Dog” Chapman went on a (recorded) racist rant.
A&E is ready to take Duane Chapman back — and will begin filming new episodes of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” in Hawaii very soon.
Just when the episodes will air is unclear at this point.
How did Duane “Dog” Chapman put the racist comments behind him? He made nice by doing a lot of apologizing and worked with minority groups to get back in everyone’s good graces.
A&E Network executives commented on Dog’s progress, saying:
“Over the last few months, Duane “Dog” Chapman has taken and continues to take the appropriate steps in reaching out to several African American organizations in an effort to make amends for his private comments to his son which were released publicly. Since the premise of Dog The Bounty Hunter is about second chances — we have decided to give him one.”
