Tina Fey endorsed Hillary Clinton on SNL last night during the “Weekend Update.” She basically said women have a right to choose who Oprah tells them to vote for. She encouraged people in Ohio and Texas to vote for Hillary.
The beginning of the show was really funny too. It was a satire of the debate and it was right on!
The Barack Obama character had these huge ears, and didn’t have much to say, but used his hands a lot and spoke in that oratory manner. The Reporters who asked the questions, were drooling all over him.
One of the reporters even asked him if he was mad at him, and they even had all the questions tagged at the bottom of the screen.
The reporters would not let the Hillary Clinton character speak at all, they would constantly cut her off and then there was the body language, the Obama character would constantly lean towards her as she would slowly try to inch away from him.
Exactly right on! It’s about time. God Bless Tina Fey and SNL !

At first I thought it was just a hilarious chastisement against unfair voter opinion, then it was an endorsement, which I still have no problem with. I love SNL and I love Tina Fey!

Not sure if it is an endorsement but the way the republicans and their media clearly want obama to win and they are afraid of hillary. She’ll take on the republicans. Obama is a republican. I thouught the skits above were very funny as described above. All great comedy is based on the truth.

Shame of Ms. Fey and SNL!! This is not just an endorsement, but an inconstitutional and illegal rant in favor of copresidency. We have it now: Bush & Cheney. The Clinton’s should go back to their hell of semen-stained dresses and arrogance.

I have been following Hillary’s political career since the early 90’s, and she has always inspired me. I remember telling everyone back then, that I believed Hillary could actually be the first female president if she ever decided to run, and most people thought that I was crazy. A woman president? I was interested in the Universal Health Care Plan she had created back in 1993, but it was brought down by the Insurance Industry and small businesses who did not want to cover their employees. She has a great deal of experience. Her attendance record is great, and she has done really well in the senate.
I see the position of Commander and Chief as a job. A huge job, and I know that whenever you apply for a job, the person with the most experience, and the best track record usually gets the job. This country is in a complete mess and cannot afford for someone to learn on the job. We are at war and our economy is on the brink of recession. The foreclosure situation is terrible.
On the other hand, Barack Hussein Obama, is a newcomer, with very little experience, and a horrible attendance record. I think the whole media secrecy surrounding Barack Obama and his radical muslim and anti-American ties is pretty scary.
One of Senator Obama’s books “The Audacity of Hope” is based on the preaching of his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, whose close ties with Louis Farrakhan, whom he honored as a “Great Man” is unnerving. He had a 17 year relationship with Tony Rezko, a Syrian slumlord (now in jail), who caused poor people to live in squalor on the south side of Chicago, without heat in the dead of winter. Then there is the campaign funding he received and ties to Nadhmi Auchi, a billionaire Iraqi terrorist funder and Rashid Khalid, a Pakistani terrorist, and the Kenyan terrorist, Raila Odinga. I also don’t want to leave out the Weathermen, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Were they Timothy McVey’s inspiration?
Then there is the Exelon Corporation nuclear plant in Illinois that had not disclosed radioactive leaks that contaminated the drinking water at one of their plants. Senator Obama lied about how he did something about preventing this situation from happening again.
Now down to his Elmer Gantry character.
He is not truthful, and he tells the American people just what they want to hear, but he doesn’t really say anything about how he will “Change” things. I watched the debate, and the hard questions were asked of Hillary first, then his answer would be “I agree”. Hillary really did shine in the end.
Saturday Night Live really did a good impression of the whole Obamamania thing.
PT Barnum said it best “You will never go broke underestimating the American Public.” It seems that Senator Obama is bulletproof from the media really revealing any of his dirt. But then again the media does not care about anything but their bottom line I also believe is a Republican ploy, in part, to gain a running mate for McCain. They knew that McCain was in the bag, in the primaries, so why not vote for his running mate? The question will come down to the general election, and who will come out to vote, and for whom.
In the end, who really knows what will happen?
I hope this explains why I support Hillary, and why I think it would be in the best interest of this country for her to win. If she doesn’t win the nomination, then who else is there to vote for? Ralph Nader?
Yves // Feb 25, 2008 at 1:25 am
Sounds like and endorsement to me. And it was music to my ears…finally someone has the cajones to just say it. Go Hillary!

“Obama is a republican”
Omg.
Pamela // Feb 25, 2008 at 1:23 pm
“Lance Harley” has it backwards — the Republicans want Clinton to win because they think she is more “beatable” than Obama. Clinton did great in this past debate, but she is a conniving liar. That’s right, Hillary, get your applause when you tell everyone you’re going to take on NAFTA… oh, wait, wasn’t NAFTA something that you always voted for? What a bunch of lemmings the public is.
Pamela // Feb 25, 2008 at 1:25 pm

Exactly–be sure to take advice from Tina. Tough bitches GO! I had a long-going crush on her because I thought she was intelligent and funny, but now that she’s pulling out the archaic tough bitch stuff, well it’s quite the turn-off. And don’t be calling me some chauvinist for my opinion– I prefer strong women, but I also like it when who I’m with is comfortable enough with themselves they don’t have to be obnoxious–which is a trait not exclusive to either gender.
And I read the Clinton advisors had Hillary check out Tina’s endorsement.
I guess that’s why Hillary looked so good going all Linda Blair this morning. It will work as well as every other of her uninspired reinventions hasn’t.
i’m in texas — i already absentee voted for obama and i will caucus tuesday to end the bush-clinton dynasty.

Who cares who has followed who’s career for how long. Fact, is, most of us Americans still believe in the Lord God above and the sovereignty of the Holy Bible and there is a strict instruction (kind of like the one with the apple-and you remember how that turned out…) that a woman is not to be the leader in position. Not MY rule, but some things are absolute whether you like or believe in them or not! Come correct left=wingers, progress is not always positive and having Hillary in there, much less a Clinton and the schemes and lies, will be the destruction and shame of our great homeland.

*people like me* are sick of the unproductive brawl that started in the 90s. the republican contract with america and new american century folks (see: neoconservativism) perfecting corrosive partisan division. regardless of billary being the usual target back then, they did and still do engage all that stuff. and today we’ve got a congress that puts more energy towards tearing the other side down than finding compromises and passing legislation that means anything.
so hillary is “ready to fight”. good– you go vote for more of that.

*** EXCLUSIVE: Must Cite Debbie Schlussel and/or DebbieSchlussel.com ****
Responding to criticism by Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen, Barack Obama declared his strong opposition to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan:
I decry racism and anti-Semitism in every form and strongly condemn the anti-Semitic statements made by Minister Farrakhan.
Obama also went on to condemn his Church’s award to Farrakhan and his minister’s tight relationship with him.
But a former Obama insider says that Obama’s sudden aversion to NOI and Farrakhan is belied by the fact that Obama employed and continues to employ several Farrakhan acolytes in high positions on his Illinois and U.S. Senate campaign and office staffs. I have verified that this person–who agreed to talk on the condition of anonymity–held a key position in the Obama campaign. The insider was so close to Senator Obama that they frequently personally discussed and exchanged direct e-mail messages on campaign and policy matters. This person is not connected with the Clintons and is not a disgruntled employee.

(Photos From Electronic Intifada)
The insider says he frequently objected to Mr. Obama’s placement of Cynthia K. Miller, a member of the Nation of Islam, as the Treasurer of his U.S. Senate campaign. When I contacted Miller, now a Chicago real estate agent, to verify whether she was a member of the Nation of Islam and whether she shared Louis Farrakhan’s bigoted views about Jews, she responded, “None of your business! Where are you going with this?” She said her resignation as Obama’s treasurer had nothing to do with her Nation of Islam ties. Then, she hung up.
The Obama insider says he also objected to Obama’s involvement with Jennifer Mason, whom he says is also a member of the Nation of Islam. Mason is Obama’s Director of Constituent Services in his U.S. Senate office and is also in charge of selecting Obama’s Senate interns. She did not respond to repeated calls for comment.
But it’s not just that he employed these individuals in positions of power in his office, it’s that when the former associate raised objections, he says Mr. Obama’s position was that he saw nothing wrong with the Nation of Islam and didn’t think it was a problem. If true–and the fact that Ms. Mason still holds her prominent Obama Senate staff position bears that out–Obama’s condemnation of Farrakhan, this month, is phony.
But the insider says there is more to it than that. Obama’s Illinois State Senate district consisted of prime Nation of Islam territory, including Hyde Park, home to Farrakhan’s mansion. It is not possible, Illinois politicos say, to win that district without the blessing of the NOI leader. NOI members, including consultant Shakir Muhammad, held important roles in the Obama state senate campaign.
How many Nation of Islam members will work in an Obama White House?
Then, there is the issue of Israel. When Obama first ran for the U.S. Senate, he gave militant responses to the Chicago Jewish News about Israel. Obama denounced Israel’s fence–which he called a “wall” and “barrier to peace”–to keep out terrorists and favored working with Yasser Arafat. When members of the Chicago Jewish community circulated his responses, Obama said that the answers were not his positions, but the work of a low-level intern. He submitted new answers. But that was a lie, the insider says. In fact, they were the work of Obama’s Policy Director, Audra Wilson. Moreover, Obama told the insider that he blamed the Mideast conflict on the Jews:
Barack told me that he felt that Jewish community was too inflexible, and that was why the situation in the Mideast could not be resolved.
This is the man who says in a new campaign ad that Hillary Clinton will say anything but change nothing. Barack Obama will say anything, but change his answers.
Palestinian activist and Islamist Ali Abunimah, who was a close friend of Obama’s, attended an Arab fundraiser at which the late Edward Said–plagiarist, fabricator, and prominent PLO/Arafat advisor–was the keynote speaker, and at which the Obamas were notably in attendance. Pictures on Abunimah’s site, posted above, show Obama and wife, Michelle, sitting next to Said and engaging in conversation. Abunimah, in a must-read article, says the Senator has since “changed” his proclaimed views from those he expressed privately, in order to get Jewish donors and votes.

WAY TO GO TINA FEY! It takes an intelligent woman to know one. Seriously, Hillary wasn’t having a problem till CNN released a poll indicating she couldn’t beat McCain. Way to go all you voters and superdelagates jumped from Hillary like the Titanic. Isn’t that the politics that Obama said he wants a change from? Yeah, the men were so bent about a woman being President, they actually are supporting someone with NO political experience! Every woman in America should be PISSED off for the double standard the media has raised with Senator Clinton. When she defends herself …she is desperate or is lashing out. When Bill comes to her aid , he’s a racist. Obama has been rescued by Oprah, his wife, and Ted Kennedy but those are endorsements! Damn those old white controlling news media biased MEN! Yeah Bitch is the new Black. It’s OK to be sexist, but DON’T ever be RACIST.
Wendy // Feb 29, 2008 at 12:44 pm
Well said, Darla! Yes, for some reason, it’s perfectly acceptable to be SEXIST, but everyone is afraid of, damaging how the public views them, if they make a RACIST remark. So, they walk around , B.O. (Barack Obama), as if walking-on-egg-shells! I smell a “Double Standard Rat”, there.
It’s so interesting, and right-on, when Tina Fey, says that, “Women feel perfectly free, to Vote for any Choice, that Oprah tells them to.”
And lastly, I like the idea of having, President Bill Clinton there, —-Two intelligent, qualified people, working together to solve the problems of our Country. That sounds perfectly rational to me!

Wow a lot of the comments I have seen on this board are some of the clearest examples of dishonest rhetoric I have ever seen. I support women’s empowerment and am not frightened to have a women in power.
The worst on here is “Joan.” You actually, sincerely provided me with my first experience of sincere, literal Reductio ad Hitlerum. The fact that you actually believe those associations in your head and would willingly attempt to smear that filth upon others is scary. I would have hoped that there was indeed enough civility and decency present in society today so that we might be able to overcome this type of rhetoric which has for so long worked to divide us from overcoming the ingrained power structure which binds us.
I guess I’m just naïve…

Let’s evolve,
This is about choosing the next President of the United States. I would love to live in a Lollipop, love-everyone world, but let’s get real here….
Barack Obama has not been vetted and I am pointing out things that need to be investigated by the media. I am sorry to burst your bubble, but you need to open your eyes, and see that the truth about this man has yet to be revealed. Instead of reading these posts, and getting all worked up about it, just leave it to the people that will do the work for you. You sound like a typical Obamabot. You’ve been hypnotized, my dear. I think you might have a different opinion if you lived in one of Obama’s partner, Syrian, Tony Rezko’s Chicago slums in the dead of a winter, without heat. And you can also believe the fairytale when Obama lied and said he had a 5 month relationship, when in reality it was 17 years.

Irony: Don’t vote for someone because Oprah tells you to. Vote for someone because Tina Fey tells you to.

I’m so tired of all the accusations that you’re a sexist if you don’t support Hillary. I am a middle-aged woman and I’ve been a feminist long before it was accepted or popular to be a feminist. Feminism means being able to choose freely.
And it means that if Hillary Clinton’s politics and methods are offensive to me, I don’t have to support her. The woman has refused to return $170,000 donated by International Profit Associates, an Illinois firm that has been accused of a massive number of cases of sexual harassment, including sexual assaults. This is not being supportive of her fellow women. Why should I support her?

Hillary has engaged in the most shameless Karl Rove style of politics using fear and personal slander as ammunition. Does she even care that her tactics may jeopardize the entire democratic party in this election. Yes she is a bi**h and no it is not alright anymore than it is is for a man to be an a**hole. Nice people do the right thing and they get it done better than any self-serving bi**h and a**hole. Catholic school teachers are effective? No inspirational teachers are effective. Shame on you Tina Fey for making excuses for this bi**h who won’t be satisfied until she takes all of our anti-Bush momentum away from the democrats and puts a man in the white house who will keep us in Iraq fo 100 years. Tina Fey you are telling every woman in the country that it is okay to not care about your actions as long as they serve your interests. Be a Bi**h, disrespect genuinely nice people if you have to , the ends justify the means right? Tina Fey you are a bi**h and a disgrace to your gender.
Gina // Mar 9, 2008 at 3:25 am
After demoralizing and demonizing the women that Bill has consentual and not so consentual sex with, Hillary is not worthy of any woman’s loyalty. I watched as she turned Paula Jones into a Tramp, Monica into a stalker, Anita into a mental case, and some very decent women were called liars and worse for objecting to Bill’s unwanted advances. She is a professional politician by name, profit and power is her game. Tina should know better.

Look at the policies of the nominees, don’t just spew hate at one of the candidates from gossip you’ve read on the internet.
