A video game based on the hit Showtime series “Dexter” could become a reality.

Marc Ecko Entertainment and Showtime Networks have agreed to a production deal to develop a “Dexter” video game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Ecko Vice President Marc Fernandez said of the new game, “‘Dexter’ is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling video game.”

No release date has been announced for the “Dexter” video game.
