Funny guy David Spade, of “Rules of Engagement” and “The Showbiz Show,” was rumored to have had a heart attack at the gym.

TMZ is reporting that’s just a rumor, although the actor was ill and did collapse.

According to TMZ sources, David Space had bronchitis and a sinus infection and had been performing while sick. He did work out at the gym and collapsed – but it was due to a reaction to the antibiotics he’s taking.

David Spade was taken to the hospital, but is now back at home.
