A David Letterman sex scandal? A $2 million extortion plot? Dang, I could hardly believe this scandalous news about late night host David Letterman.

During tonight’s taping of The Late Show, David Letterman owned up to having affairs with employees on his staff and said that he was the victim of an alleged extortion plot.

Someone demanded $2 million from Letterman three weeks ago to keep quiet over David Letterman’s sexual relationships with staff members.

An arrest was made earlier today.

David Letterman told his audience, “This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life. I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.”

He was asked about affairs over the years and said, “My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. I feel like I need to protect these people—I need to certainly protect my family.”
