True, the blogs are keeping the issue alive, but my sense of it is that there is a passionate and negative vibe out there among many fans; but it may lead to a turnoff concerning his music because he is coming off as being less wise a man than many believed him to be (sort of a sucker in many ways!). It may not be such a good PR strategy if this is what it is. I am not sure if the problem is an image compatibility issue (David is an intelligent and deserving A-list idol, Kim is perceived as an unintelligent D-list coat-tail rider) which has been somewhat crushing to many fans. Personally, I cannot even listen to him sing anymore, though I know this sounds silly. But I wonder how many others are turned off.

This makes me so sad that idol has ended. Does anyone know of a goodreplacement for my fix?? Nashville star premiers on Monday, is that any good??? I might watch just for Taylor Swift, but i love watching the new davids go through they're musical journey

David Cook is doing EXACTLY what the PR people are telling him to do. Bad buzz is better than no buzz at all. Look at how we’re all clamoring to read and talk about this. End result? David, and his comings and goings, stay current. That’s how a star is born.

Think about it, people. He asked her out ON TV, he talks about her ON TV, and he’s seen with her ON TV. He’s very, very vocal about hanging out with her.

Compare that to the way he kept his brother’s illness under wraps as long as he could…and how he refused, and STILL refuses, to discuss it with the media.

Now you tell me that how much he cares for her. LOL! This is a career move, nothing more, nothing less. He won’t lose fans – the PR people WANT to stir controversy so we feel passionately about him.

It’s really simple if you’ll just think. :-)
