Dancing with the Stars’ Jewel Suffers Knee Injury, Tendonitis

Jewel is the first casualty of this season’s Dancing With the Stars, suffering a knee injury that could take her out of the competition.
Dancing with the Stars premieres March 9, but will Jewel’s knee tendinitis (tendonitis) put a wrinkle in her dance plans?
Jewel wrote in her blog: “Yuck! It’s mainly my left knee, and I can’t believe I hurt it so badly. Ty warned me I was over doing it, and now he got a big ol’ ‘I told you so’ in.”
Jewel released this statement to E! News: “Yes it is true I have had a minor setback in my training for Dancing With the Stars, but I am dedicated to getting better and showing the judges and America that I can cha cha with the best of them. Don’t count me out as I am in this for the long run.”
Jewel has doctor’s orders to stop rehearsals for a couple of days.
