Guess a racy 2003 NYPD Blue scene featuring actress Charlotte Ross’ naked backside (or nude buttocks, as the Associated Press is saying) is going to cost ABC some money.
The FCC has issued a $1.4 million fine against 52 ABC affiliates for Charlotte Ross’ nude buttocks shown on a 2003 broadcast of NYPD Blue.
The FCC is saying that the scene, where Charlotte Ross is surprised in the shower by a boy, showed “multiple, close-up views” of her “nude buttocks.”
The FCC found the nude shots on NYPD Blue to be indecent because “it depicts sexual organs and excretory organs — specifically an adult woman’s buttocks.”
Further, the FCC thought the scene with Charlotte Ross “dwelled” on her nudity and was “shocking and titillating.”

Ok. So why not just call it a nude butt? What’s the deal with buttocks?

“Buttocks” is a funny description, for sure. Yeah, Charlotte Ross’ bare butt beats David Caruso/Dennis Franz’s ass any day.
