Watch Charice on Oprah in this May 18 video clip – her performance of “Note to God” is the first single from her CD. Charice’s Oprah appearance was her third – impressive for a 17-year-old, but fitting for Oprah’s theme of “Search for the World’s Smartest and Most Talented Kids.”

Charice appeared on Oprah to debut “Note to God,” which will be available on iTunes today. Check out Charice’s performance of the song in the Oprah video clip above; the song was produced by David Foster and written by Grammy winner Diane Warren.

Charice was discovered by Oprah’s producers when they saw the then 15-year-old in a YouTube video. She has toured with the David Foster & Friends show and recently made an appearance at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas – receiving 17 standing ovations!

Charice Pempengco was born May 10, 1982 and was raised in the Philippines. She started singing in amateur competitions, but her 2007 YouTube video, posted by an anonymous fan, received millions of hits, leading her to become an overnight sensation.

Charice said her life has changed a lot, including an upcoming role as herself in “Alvin and The Chipmunks 2.”
