Criminal Minds fans will be shocked to hear that a main character has been written OUT of the season premiere coming this Fall and may be in some danger of being fired altogether, especially since CBS issued a casting call for a character that sounds exactly like the one missing. Want to know who?

Apparently Mandy Patinkin, who plays Agent Jason Gideon, failed to show up for work when filming started for the new season. Oops!

I love Gideon and I love Mandy Patinkin AS Gideon so I can’t imagine him being replaced. I hope they resolve this nicely.
