Joanna Krupa naked PETA crucifix ad controversy
Well, PETA likes to get attention… so here we go… the Catholic Church is none-to-happy about this naked Joanna Krupa picture, featured in the latest PETA ad campaign.

Playboy model and Dancing with the Stars reject Joanna Krupa is seen naked except for a giant crucifix and angel wings. The tagline reads: “Be an Angel for Animals – Always Adopt. Never Buy.” Let the controversy begin.

The Catholic Church isn’t finding the naked Joanna Krupa picture that angelic, it seems.

The use of religious symbols in this way is offensive to religious groups, though Krupa counters, “We’re trying to spread the word that breeding isn’t the way to go. In my heart I know that Jesus would never condone the suffering that results when dogs and cats are allowed to breed.”

Deal Hudson, publisher of InsideCatholic.com commented, “It’s totally inappropriate. It’s another instance of disrespect toward Christianity and another example of the kind of abuse that would never occur with any other major religion, because the outcry would be so immediate and so loud that the people behind it would immediately retreat.”

Catholic League President Bill Donohue said in a statement:

“The fact is that cats and dogs are a lot safer in pet stores than they are in the hands of PETA employees. Moreover, pet stores don’t rip off Christian iconography and engage in cheap irreligious claims.

PETA is a fraud. It also has a long and disgraceful record of exploiting Christian and Jewish themes to hawk its ugly services. Those who support this organization sorely need a reality check. They also need a course in Ethics 101.”

Krupa issued her own statement in response to the Catholic League, saying: “As a practicing Catholic, I am shocked that the Catholic League is speaking out against my PETA ads. I’m doing what the Catholic Church should be doing, working to stop senseless suffering of animals, the most defenseless of God’s creation.”

That is so stupid, Im a vegetarian and Im pro PETA campains, but come on! you dont have to get naked to tell people to adopt instead of purchasig dogs, it is a good message when you want ppl not to use fur and you rather go naked than wearing fur, but what does it has to do with adopting???

Why is anybody quoting to the “Catholic League” ? Why is anybody listening to the “Catholic League” ? This moron Bill Donahue doesn’t speak for Catholics.
