David Cook sings “Dare You to Move” by Switchfoot in this May 13 American Idol video clip. David Cook explained why he chose “Dare You to Move” for tonight’s show, based on the lyrics.

Randy said it was a great song choice, but didn’t think it was David Cook’s best performance; Paula wanted more; Simon said it’s not the best melodic song.

Randy said Paula chose a dope song, said he’s in it to win it; Paula said it was a pure and stunning performance; Simon said it was very good, but a bit predictable.

Syesha Mercado sings “Fever” by Peggy Lee in this May 13 American Idol video clip. “Fever” was Syesha Mercado’s song choice.

Randy said it was a great performance; Paula said she looks lovely, thought it was an interesting song choice but didn’t show her who Syesha is as an artist; Simon said it was a lame cabaret performance.

Syesha Mercado sings “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys in this May 13 American Idol video clip. “If I Ain’t Got You” was Randy Jackson’s judges’ choice pick.

Randy said she did an amazing job on it; Paula said she’s very proud she’s the last woman standing; Simon said she sang it very well, but wished Randy chose a different song, said she looks gorgeous.

David Cook sings “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack in this May 13 American Idol video clip. “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” was Simon Cowell’s judges’ choice pick.

At this point, I’m convinced David Cook could sing the phone book and sound amazing. Just sayin’.
