Post Writers’ Strike Desperate Housewives: New Episodes Start in April

Desperate Housewives
One of the shows I hear most about people wanting to see new episodes of is “Desperate Housewives.” With the writers’ strike over, the creator of “Desperate Housewives,” Marc Cherry, met with his cast to finalize plans for new episodes.

“Desperate Housewives” will begin production on February 25, with plans for eveyrone to work six days a week to get shows pulled together.

That means we can expect new episodes of “Desperate Housewives” to air in April and May!

‘My Name is Earl’ Expects to Return with Nine Episodes

Post-writers’ strike… and it’s back to business. NBC’s “My Name is Earl” has been told by the network and studio to air as many new episodes as possible by May 15th. No pressure.

Now that the writers’ strike is behind us, we have a bit of a wait for new episodes of our favorite series. One show that dodges the long wait, however, is Saturday Night Live, expected to return on February 23.

Nine ABC Shows Renewed, Including Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies

Following news that the writers’ strike has ended and everyone in TV land is going back to work, ABC has announced that nine of the network’s shows have been renewed for the 2008-09 season.

Naturally, “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Ugly Betty,” “Lost” and “Brothers & Sisters” will return… but four new shows have also been given the network’s blessing for a second season: “Pushing Daisies,” “Private Practice,” “Samantha Who?” and “Dirty Sexy Money.” Read the rest of this entry »

While the specifics are unknown, industry experts are making their best guesses for the remaining new episodes of each series this season. When Will ‘Desperate Housewives’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Return with New Episodes?

Looks like there may be some happier news on the horizon when it comes to the writers’ strike. A tentative agreement was made between writers and Hollywood bigwigs on Friday, and while nothing is solid yet, many are hopeful that the writers’ strike could end this week.
