Wanda Sykes takes a stab at recreating the controversial Erykah Badu “Window Seat” music video, stripping down in this parody video.

Erykah Badu talked to Wanda Sykes about appearing naked in the video, saying, “My point was grossly misunderstood all over America… J.F.K. is one of my heroes, one of the nation’s heroes.”

Badu continued: “John F Kennedy was a revolutionary; he was not afraid to butt heads with America, and I was not afraid to show America my butt-naked truth.”

Wanda Sykes’ wife came to the forefront last November when Sykes revealed at a marriage rights rally that she’s gay and married. Her wife Alex gave birth to twins just a few months ago.

Check out Wanda Sykes’ special, “I’ma Be Me” on HBO this Sunday, October 10 at 10 p.m. Sykes will kick off a Saturday night talk show next month on Fox.

Wanda Sykes’ wife had twins! Comedienne Wanda Sykes, who co-stars on The New Adventures of Old Christine and her wife, Alex, welcomed twins – a boy and a girl – on April 27.

Wanda Sykes and her partner were married in October 2008 and Sykes’ wife gave birth to twins in April 2009: daughter Olivia Lou (6 lbs., 7 oz.) and son Lucas Claude (7 lbs., 9 oz.).

A rep for the couple said, “All are happy and healthy and at home.”

Did Wanda Sykes’ Rush Limbaugh jokes at the White House Correspondents Association dinner (WHCD) go too far? Naturally, an edgy comedian like Wanda Sykes was likely to say something that ruffled feathers, but many thought the Rush Limbaugh jabs pushed the envelope.

Wanda Sykes joked that Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker on 9/11, but was too drugged on Oxycontin to make his flight. In response to Limbaugh wishing the president to fail (and subsequently, the country), Sykes said he hoped his kidney would fail.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs commented on Wanda Sykes’ Rush Limbaugh jokes, “There are a lot of topics that are better left for serious reflection rather than comedy. I don’t think there is any doubt that 9/11 is one of them.”

Wanda Sykes Selected as Entertainer for White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Wanda Sykes just landed herself a pretty cool gig – she’s been selected as the entertainer for the White House Correspondents’ Association on May 9. It’ll be interesting to see what Wanda Sykes has in store for President Barack Obama.

Some 2,000 people are expected to attend the White House Correspondents’ event.

Wanda Sykes said of the honor: “The first thing I did when they asked me to do this gig — I made sure my taxes were paid.” She also noted that it would be both “scary but very exciting.”
