Ah yes, the return of “Celebrity Fit Club” on VH1… life is good! The sixth season of “Celebrity Fit Club” will include some former fit clubbers as well as new contestants.
Returning “Celebrity Fit Club” contestants include model Toccara Jones, Tina Yothers, Willie Aames, and Dustin Diamond (anyone surprised to see him back on the show?). The former “Fit Club” participatnts will be on one team, while new contestants on the opposing team are: comedienne Sommore, Brian Dunkleman (remember him from the first season of “American Idol”?), Erin Moran and A.J. Benza.
“Celebrity Fit Club” returns to VH1 in the spring.
VH1 is taking the reality show concept and running… with yet another reality program in the works, this time taking the telenovela world by storm.
“Viva Hollywood!” features 12 bilingual Latino and Latina contestants who learn how to act with all of the drama of a steamy Spanish soap opera. Judges include actress Maria Conchita Alonso and singer Carlos Ponce. The winner gets a job on a telenovela on Telemundo, a manager and $100,000.
While VH1’s latest celebreality offering isn’t set to air until January, videos from “Celebrity Rehab” have surfaced online. Whether the celebs involved are simulating drug use or actually using on camera isn’t quite clear, although in the clip with “Taxi” star Jeff Conaway (below), he says, “By the way, this is pablum. I don’t want you to get the wrong idea.” He explains that he snorts it “to go to the bathroom because of all the pills that the doctors put me on.”
“Celebrity Rehab” is scheduled to air on January 10th, with Dr. Drew Pinsky helping nine former stars with their addiction problems. Jeff Conaway, “American Idol” finalist Jessica Sierra, actor Daniel Baldwin, actress Brigitte Nielsen, porn star Mary Carey, Crazy Town’s Seth Binzer and former wrestler Chyna will participate on the series. The question is, can Dr. Drew set these celebs straight?
Jessica Sierra, who was a finalist on the fourth season of “American Idol,” didn’t have such an easy time once the season ended. Sierra made headlines in April this year after a Tampa incident where she hit a bar customer in the head with a glass.
Sierra has been in a rehab program after she pleaded no contest to cocaine possession and assault. She was sentenced to 12 months of probabtion and random drug screening.
Now she’s getting a second chance on television, on a new VH1 reality series, “Celebrity Rehab.” The show, led by Dr. Drew Pinsky, premieres January 10th, and features Sierra, Tom Sizemore, Chyna, and Andy Dick, as well as five other celebrities seeking help.
Pete Wentz will guest star on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton’s new show on VHI “What Perez Sez,” premiering Tuesday September 11th. Read the rest of this entry »
