After Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ arrest (for public drunkenness and abusive behavior) at a Dublin airport on November 18, “The Tudors” actor has made an apology. As a result, prosecutors have dropped the charges against him.
While Jonathan Rhys Meyers did not appear at his arraignment today, he did say via his lawyer that he “unreservedly apologizes” to all involved in the incident. Despite the dropped charges, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was given a legal caution — that enforces tougher penalties if he does it again.
Jennifer Love Hewitt has spoken out on her blog about size issues in Hollywood and I hope it hits the fashion world (although probably not). She had some photos taken of her, candidly, recently and they weren’t the most flattering photos ever but worse were the commentary on how “fat” she is. I watch Ghost Whisperer every week and although she’s not a stick figure she’s certainly NOT fat.
She said:
“I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.”
She adds, “A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful. … To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.”

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be airing in high definition on CBS this Tuesday at 10 pm (eastern). The show will be an hour long with Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Karolina Kurkova, and more in VS lingerie – did I mention high definition? That’s possibly the best way to make sure men don’t complain when their wife or girlfriend wants to watch a bit of fashion television, a win-win!
Evel Knievel, who used to perform dazzling daredevil stunts on television, died Friday at the age of 69. He had been suffering from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis for several years.
Charisma Carpenter of Buffy and Angel has split from husband Damian Hardy. They’re currently living separately after four years of marriage and having a son in 2003. Charisma will appear on Big Shots as Christopher Titus’ wife on December 13 on ABC.
Nicole Richie, almost eight months pregnant, spent part of her Thanksgiving volunteering at a Hollywood homeless shelter, serving up food. It’s the kind of thing that would have turned into pathetic hilarity on The Simple Life but which was actually very touching in real life.
I swear, getting knocked up was the single best thing that ever could have happened to her.

James Pickens Jr., who plays The Chief on Grey’s Anatomy says that he doesn’t see much chance of reconcilliation between his character and wife Adele. Between the ongoing tension with Adele vs. work, and ahis grief over the death of Ellis Grey last season, he thinks it’s unlikely the marriage will survive. Meanwhile, both Derek and Mark will continue to urge him into the dating pool.
Apparently some major life changes face The Chief in the upcoming two-part episode which starts tonight, but Pickens kept quiet about what that means.
