Project Runway Season 4

Project Runway‘s fourth season’s 15 designers are getting ready to show their stuff. Heidi Klum, the show’s host, told E news that she’s “Super excited about Season 4. Finally, it’s happened!” The judges this season are Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. Tim Gunn will be the contestant’s mentor as they work their way through the show’s various fashion challenges.

For the designer, it’s an exciting opportunity as the winner will show their line at the New York Fashion Week, land an editorial in Elle Magazine, $100,000 in cash to start their own line, the opportunity to sell their clothing line on www.bluefly.com (which has the latest in fashion at ridiculous prices), and a 2008 Saturn Asra. That’s not bad, is it?

So, who are this year’s designers? Watch Project Runwaywhich premieres tonight (Wednesday November 14, 2007) at 10/9c on Bravo.

Cast of Boston Legal
“Boston Legal,” currently in its fourth year, has been given the green light for syndication in 46 markets, encompassing 50% of the U.S. Not too shabby for the legal drama, which stars James Spader and William Shatner (both Emmy winners for the series).

A Full House Reunion

“Full House” was one of the only TV shows I was allowed to watch as a child (my parents have a thing against television). And I have to admit, it is a cute show – and it went for a loooong time! The Eighth Season is now available on DVD – but it’s been a long time, and most of the “good” in the show is probably due to nostalgia.

In other Full House news, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson made a trip to Broadway to support their former TV Dad, Bob Saget, as he participated in “The Drowsy Chaperone.” Cameron (DJ) talks about her decision to forgo acting and raise her family (three kids!), and Jody Sweetin talks about her addiction, which began after Full House, to Alchohol and Crystal Meth. I guess life isn’t always as rosy as it is on TV.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, the star of long-running TV show, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” will hit the Silver Screen three times in 2008. Maxim Magazine has chosen Sarah for their Woman of the Year Award, and put her on the cover of the December Issue.

Inside, the former kick-ass TV star, shares that she’s pretty sure she could hold her own – even win – if she were in a chick fight, calling herself “pretty scrappy.” As she so astutely observed, “Chicks are dirty – hair-pulling, scratching… Anything goes in a chick fight.”

Plastic Surgery on Dancing With the Stars?

Dancing With the Stars contestant Karina Smirnoff
Dancing With the Stars Contestant Karina Smirnoff had plastic surgery done on her nose on November 2, 2007. The twice-broken nose was causing breathing problems, so she had the surgery performed for both medical and aesthetic reasons.

The surgeon, Dr. Nicholas Nicolov said, “She can breathe easier. She may find being a little less tired, a little less winded.” The surgery reshaped Smirnoff’s nose and nasal passageways.

No worries, though. She’s expected to have a swift recovery and should be able to appear on the Dancing With The Stars finale November 27, when all of the season’s dancing couples are reunited on the dance floor.

Can They Beat Mel B and Max?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Melanie Brown

Dancing with the Stars couple (Spice Girl) Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are the new pair to beat. They are the only dancers on the show to have received two perfect tens.

On the E! News coverage of their practice, Mel B expresses a heartfelt desire that Sabrina were still on the show because, “she was like the best dancer on the show.” Maks interrupts her, “Well, she’s gone now, so we’re the best dancers.”

Sounds like a challenge to me. But do the judges agree? And will all of Mel B’s running around – practicing for the Spice Girls tour during the day and practicing with Maks at night – keep her at her best, or is she tiring out a bit?

Pride goeth before a fall.

Prison Break Is a Bust

Prison Break Season 3

Blame it on the Writer’s Strike, but aside from the really cool helicopter scene last night, Prison Break left much to be desired. The season’s early fall finale did nothing to satisfy me as a viewer – and I expected more. I realize that the show has something like five more scripts before the actual finale, and that the producer wants to spread them out “just in case” but seriously… this was in no way cool.

I guess it left us on an okay cliffhanger. I guess. I mean, is Michael going to transferred within Panama? Will he be taken back to the States? Or is he in solitary?

Whether it’s because of this dud of a season or simply lack of enthusiasm I my part, I think I can wait to find out. I’d rather watch reruns. Give us a decent ending! What do you think?

The Release of Gilmore Girls Seventh Season

The Gilmore Girls

With the world reverting to reruns because of the Writer’s strike, I have to wonder why the TV show “Gilmore Girls” ended. Granted, it had been running for a long time, and it never should have worked in the first place. Mother and daughter, best friends? Yeah, right. But the thing is, the heartwarming story was something a lot of people yearned for – daughters and mothers alike.

And even though the story itself is over, in celebration of the Seventh Season’s DVD release, there is a contest for mothers and daughters who do watch the show and think, “That’s us!” Mothers and daughters can go to: http://mygilmoregirlcontest.com. Mothers and daughters can go to the website, fill out a profile, and then show their love to the other person. The profile that receives the most views wins a $2,000 shopping spree and a box set of “The Gilmore Girls Seasons 1-7.”
