Plus, she’s living in a dorm – Tyra has her own room, but shares living room, kitchen and study room. She calls it like “summer camp” and loves it.

Since signing on as a Jenny Craig spokesperson in December, Rue shed 50 pounds through the program, combined with exercise.

Sara Rue tells People.com: “I have such a better relationship with food than I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve learned how to control portions, I’ve learned how to eat healthfully.”

Rue’s workout routine includes 45-60 minutes of cardio 5 to 6 days a week on the treadmill; she’s also training for her first half marathon, People.com reports.

Sara Rue started small – “I spent the first few months of this program wearing my pedometer and getting in my 10,000 steps every day. When I started running I would run for one minute and walk for ten. Now I can run for two-and-a-half hours straight. That’s insane! I never would have thought six months ago that I would be able to run that much.”

Rue’s weight loss shrunk the actress from a size 14 down to a size 6. She plans to get married in the spring.

During Tyra’s final show, she shows off highlights of the five-year run and receives a message from Oprah. What are your favorite Tyra Banks Show memories?

Banks explains, “I said I was going to do it, and here it is! It’s for all the girls and guys who want a lot more FANTASY in their lives … and some fierceness and magic, romance and mystery, crazy and wild adventures, and yeah, some danger too.”

Tyra continues, “It’s my novel called Modelland (pronounced “Model Land”) that takes you to a fantastical place you’ve never seen, or heard about, or read about before … Where dreams come true and life can change in the blink of a smoky eye.”

No details have been revealed about when the book will be released, but Tyra tells her fans, “Modelland has always been a part of my mind and my heart. I’m excited that you’ll be able to read about this magical world that’s been living in my dreams for so many years.”

Tyra Banks says of the new model search contest: “I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty; through America’s Next Top Model, True Beauty and The Tyra Show I challenge industry and universal standards by featuring and celebrating non-traditional beauty, and stressing that true beauty is both inside and out.”

Tyra explains, “Plus-sized tends to have a negative connotation and I want young girls to realize that what’s considered plus-sized is the average American woman. That woman is healthy, fit and beautiful. Adolescence is such an impressionable time in a young woman’s life, and I hope this contest helps teen girls discover their own beauty from the inside out.”

The winner of Tyra’s plus-sized competition gets a one-year contract with Wilhelmina, plus a magazine cover.

Tyra Banks announced the end of the talk show to People.com, saying, “This will be the last season of The Tyra Show. I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”

Look for the final Tyra Show at the end of its fifth season in the spring.

Not to worry, however, Tyra Banks has other plans – including the launch of film production company Bankable Studios, which aims to bring “positive images of women to the big screen.”

Banks is keeping it fierce: “My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are.”

Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model returns in February, as well as her show “True Beauty.”

Banks took to her web site to thank her fans:

“There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart. And I salute you my amazing family of viewers; without you there never would have been a Tyra Show. I really love you all.”

Tyra Banks says of the healthy eating and weight loss: “I switched up my unhealthy eating habits for healthier eating habits, and I haven’t had a tummy attack since December ’08.”
